A Day in the Life at

the Kids Place

Our goals at the Kids Place Preschool are to provide children with a nurturing, fun, calm, creative and educational environment. Our goals for each class are age appropriate and are achieved through play based learning.

Each morning we will conduct a morning meeting where we gather in front of the calendar, sing a good morning song, talk about the weather, see who is in school through name recognition and counting.

Each week we will have a theme.  Projects and books around the theme will be used to help make connections.

Projects will be done in small groups of 2-3 to ensure the teacher can focus on each child’s needs, skills will be adjusted according to skill level and age, for example, younger learners might just use scissors to practice cutting paper, while older learners might cut out a circle.

All enjoy our outdoor space as much as possible while the weather is nice, there are many projects and learning opportunities that can happen outside.

A mix of free play is offered into our structured time. Our learners get to engage in free play with their peers; it's great for imagination, social skill building, and independence!
